MAGDALENA

My name is Consuelo Montoya Candelaria.  I grew up here in Magdalena and attended school, Elementary through High School here.  I'm a Steer through and through!!

I married Kyl Candelaria, my highschool sweetheart, in June of 2007.  We have three beautiful children, Josiah Davee, Amaris Love, and Kylee Brielle.    

Once I graduated from High School in Magdalena in the year 2000, I attended college at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico.  I received my Bachelor's degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education.

I began teaching right after college at Arrey Elementary, a small school out of the TorC school district.  It was then, through a special site program, that I received my Master's Degree through  Lesley University, a college in Boston, Massachusetts.  I received my Master's in Curriculum and Insturction and Reading.  I also have endosements in TESOL and in Reading.

I have been teaching for a total of 12 years, inclulding this year.  I began teaching here in Magdalena in 2008.  I love teaching and definitely love being around my students and coworkers.
