Secondary Education:

Hi, My name is Kyl Candelaria and I am a Secondary Special Education Teacher at Magdalena Middle/High School. I am also the head varsity baseball coach. I have been here at the district for the past four years teaching a Middle School Science elective, and Special Education.

I was born and raised here in Magdalena and attended all grade levels in this very building.  I attended college at New Mexico State University, where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Wildlife Science, with a minor in Biology.  I later went back to school and attended New Mexico Highlands University and earned a Masters Degree in Special Education.

I am extremely excited to be in the Special Education setting and work individually with new students.  This school is full of talented adults and students, and I am anxious to get the year started and moving.  I am looking forward to a great year and I feel very blessed to be working in this position.
