Major, Lynn

My name is Lynn Major. Although I was born while my parents were living in Magdalena, I grew up in Datil. I earned my nursing degree from New Mexico State University and spent many years serving our community as a registered nurse.

I married my husband, Randell, whose family represents five generations of ranching in the Magdalena area. Together, we have raised four children and continue our family's ranching tradition. After retiring from nursing, I joined Randell as a real estate broker with Major Ranch Realty, where we specialize in ranches and rural properties throughout New Mexico.

Community service has always been important to me. During New Mexico's legislative sessions, I volunteer to advocate for education, agriculture, and healthcare, with the goal of helping make a positive difference for our state and our communities.

I have proudly served on the Magdalena School Board for more than eight years. What I value most about our district is the respect we have for one another. Even when we have different perspectives, we remain united by a common purpose: doing what is best for our children. Because we are a small district, we truly are like a family, and it is an honor to be part of a team that is committed to supporting our students, staff, and community.
